Hiking!

Hannah and I went hiking this past Saturday at a beautiful forest not far from our home. Gracie couldn't go because it's too strenuous for her and besides when Hannah and I went last year there were a few gun shots heard that would have terrified Gracie. Makayla can't go because she is still a bit timid when out of her security zone which is home. So, off Hannah and I went on a hiking adventure with two of our friends. It was a gorgeous day and something we both needed to do - get out of the house and enjoy the spirituality of nature. She did great and did not venture off the trail at all. She loved being on the 50 ft. web lead walking ahead and sniffing at everything and enjoyed being out and about with us. I think I need to get her a backpack of her own so she can carry her own stuff. I think she'd love that. It certainly would lighten my own load that's on my back. :-) We're hoping we can go again soon before the weather gets too cold. Although we said we'd love to do the trail in the winter when the snow is on the ground and the aire is crisp. That would be beautiful and serene. Another excuse to enjoy nature's spirituality...

Play and Laugh!

Ahh, life is good! Hannah would like to remind you that it is very important to take time out to play and roll around in the grass. Well, maybe not roll around in the grass but at least take time to play and laugh. And this little girl is very serious when it comes to having fun and making you laugh.
